This is a quilt that I designed. I came up with the design, chose the fabrics, and laid out the pieces. My mother did the actual sewing and quilting. It is double bed size.

The name and inspiration comes from Norse mythology. Bifrost is the name of the rainbow bridge that leads from Midgard, the world of mortals, to Asgard, the world of the gods.

This picture was taken at the West Michigan Quilters' Guild show 2006, where it was displayed and won an Honorable Mention. [link]

Actually I've seen this exact same design in many old quilting books... But nice choice on colors. It's very beautiful.
